About Serenity Care

Founded in 2023, Serenity Care emerged from the passion and expertise of clinicians, nurses, and therapists, united by a shared dedication to supporting young people and adults with disabilities and additional needs in leading successful, quality and fulfilling lives.

Our residential services are fully registered, inclusive, and provide individuals with a sense of being seen, respected, valued, and truly supported in achieving their life goals. Every individual’s journey is honoured and supported to participate meaningfully and purposefully within their community.

Our Ethos at Serenity Care

Serenity Care operates as a sister company of Nighitngale Homecare Services under The Nighitngale Placement Agency, delivering compassionate, person-centred care that truly honours each person’s goals, dreams, aspirations and identity.

Our centres are nestled in tranquil natural settings, offering quality, safe and comfortable living and thriving whilst experiencing a fulfilling, joy-filled life with accessible, strong links to the local communities, services, and amenities.

Serenity Care celebrates diversity as a source of strength and therefore delivers tailored, person-centred, and high-quality support that respects individual strengths, communication preferences, sensory needs, and aspirations. We create spaces that foster autonomy, safety, comfort, and confidence and unlock each person’s full potential.

Our guiding principle is simple:

“We work with our hearts and treat our clients the way we would want ourselves and our loved ones to be treated.”

We are proud to offer flexible, community-based services across day, evening, and night-time hours, shaped in response to the expressed and assessed needs of each person we support. Our services are integrated and complementary—designed for support and connection.

With respectful guidance from our skilled staff, individuals are encouraged to socialise, share experiences, and develop meaningful relationships. We cultivate peer connection, mutual understanding, and spaces for joy—believing social inclusion should be natural, authentic, and always choice-led.

At Serenity Care, every person is valued. Every voice matters. Every potential is honoured.

Safeguarding, Governance & Quality Assurance

Safeguarding

Safeguarding We uphold the highest safeguarding standards in line with national policy, regulatory frameworks, and legislation. All our staff are Garda-vetted, reference-checked, and trained in recognizing, reporting, and responding appropriately to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Safeguarding training is mandatory and regularly refreshed to ensure that best practices are upheld throughout our organization.

Our safeguarding procedures are child- and adult-focused, trauma-informed, and governed by the principle of “zero tolerance” towards abuse. We promote a culture of transparency, open communication, and empowerment to ensure every voice is heard and every concern is acted upon without delay.

Governance

Governance Our governance structure is led by experienced clinicians, managers, and external advisors who ensure all services’ safe, ethical, and transparent delivery. We maintain robust oversight and accountability mechanisms to ensure clinical integrity, compliance with HIQA standards, and adherence to legal, ethical, and financial obligations.

We operate under clearly defined policies and procedures regularly reviewed and updated to reflect current evidence-based practice and regulatory changes. Supervision, audit, and feedback loops are embedded into our operational framework to promote reflective practice, safe decision-making, and continuous service improvement.

Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Serenity Care is driven by a culture of excellence and continual learning. We maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to monitor our services’ effectiveness, safety, and impact. This includes:

· Regular internal audits and service evaluations

· Feedback and complaints mechanisms for service users, families, and professionals

· Ongoing training, clinical supervision, and reflective practice for all staff

· Transparent incident reporting and risk management protocols

· Service user outcomes monitoring and goal reviews

All services are underpinned by evidence-based models of care and guided by the principles of dignity, compassion, person-centeredness, and respect. We work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams, statutory state agencies, and families to ensure every aspect of care meets and exceeds national standards.

At Serenity Care, we are committed to building trust, delivering exceptional standards of care, and ensuring that every individual we support feels safe, valued, and respected.

What Makes Our Approach Unique?

At Serenity Care, we do more than provide services; we invest in individuals, the whole person, with their own story, strengths, and dreams.

Whether it’s in the home or out in the community, day, evening, or night, we match our support to your rhythm, habits, routines, preferences and how your needs may change over time.

Every support plan is co‑created with you and your circle of support after a full, thoughtful review, so that your identity, your lived experience, and your personal goals are reflected, front and centre, because we believe healing, growth, and belonging are possible, not someday, but right now.
